Blue Egg

The beauty of Blue Egg belies its humble beginnings as a sweater sleeve — a triumph of resourcefulness. It has been felted by the artist with choiceful linen scraps to compose a haphazard tartan of color and form. Pinpoints of red, gold, white, and black peek through the electric-blue mist, having been interwoven together by hundreds of felting needles. The irregular outline of the work is where the purest of cobalt resides, which Yves Klein fans will appreciate.

  • Studies are fiber-art compositions that serve as material exploration for Waste No More’s array of techniques and surprising visual effects. Often, they are the prototype for larger Wallworks. They are arranged by hand and industrially felted to produce one-of-kind artworks that can be framed, mounted, or hung as is. Made from remnants of reclaimed EILEEN FISHER clothing, they play with texture, color, and shape with a spirit of lively experimentation that far outsizes their intimate scale.
