Studies
Flash
What started as a material exploration became an artistic triumph. Layers of wool, silk, and linen remnants have been arranged by the artist to create a verdant collage of colors and forms. Woven and wooly textures abound within the folds and fraying edges, providing a sensorial satisfaction unduplicated by other media.

Studies are fiber-art compositions that serve as material exploration for Waste No More’s array of techniques and surprising visual effects. Often, they are the prototype for larger Wallworks. They are arranged by hand and industrially felted to produce one-of-kind artworks that can be framed, mounted, or hung as is. Made from remnants of reclaimed EILEEN FISHER clothing, they play with texture, color, and shape with a spirit of lively experimentation that far outsizes their intimate scale.
