Studies
Study in Stone
The counterpart to Study in Bone, this work uses a more grounded color palette to evoke wonder. Abstract shapes are arranged by the artist and felted into a lively composition. Transparency of layers produce fibrous detail that is discovered upon close inspection. From afar, Study in Stone challenges assumptions around material and technique.

Studies are fiber-art compositions that serve as material exploration for Waste No More’s array of techniques and surprising visual effects. Often, they are the prototype for larger Wallworks. They are arranged by hand and industrially felted to produce one-of-kind artworks that can be framed, mounted, or hung as is. Made from remnants of reclaimed EILEEN FISHER clothing, they play with texture, color, and shape with a spirit of lively experimentation that far outsizes their intimate scale.
